Fernando Alonso made a winning start to the 2010 Formula One season by leading a Ferrari 1-2 in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Alonso finished around 16 seconds ahead of team-mate Felipe Massa as the Spaniard managed to win from 3rd on the grid – making it his third win in the last 6 renewals of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The bookmakers have reacted by making Alonso a firm favourite to land the 2010 Driver’s Championship and Ferrari are now odds-on to win the Constructor’s Title. The Formula One bandwagon now heads to Australia for the second round on March 28.
